TESTIMONIAL
My Photoshoot Experience
Ask Pamela a question and her whole face lights up. "So you want to
get into modelling do you? Do you have any idea what it takes?" she
asks me with a challenging grin. "Well...no...not really..." is my
sheepish response. This is my first appointment with Pamela, who comes
very highly recommended by a close friend. She turns on some funky
background music and then starts to fill me in on the in's and out's of
modelling, from her firsthand perspective. She is animated...you can
see she loves to share her extensive knowledge...and it becomes clear
very quickly that she's not going to let me get away with my usual
reserved behavior.
"Go," she says, holding an imaginary camera, and challenging me to
strike a pose worthy of a supermodel. Not as easy as it looks...I
assure you. But by the end of our appointment I feel confident that
Pamela knows exactly what she's talking about, and will be able to do
what no one else has ever done - take a picture of me that I am proud
to display...and that captures the real "me." I book an appointment for
the photoshoot and head for home.
The Photoshoot - No experience needed! Pamela gave fantastic
directions, everything was planned out in advance, and ad-libbed as
necessary...and I had a blast! I now believe, more than ever, that
EVERY woman should have at least one photoshoot in her life, with a
photographer who has such a natural inclination toward encouragement as
Pamela does. For anyone who has ever recoiled in fear when a camera is
pulled out...this is an absolute must!
You can check out a few of my favorite photos below. Pamela,
thank you so much! I can't wait for the next 'shoot!

Pamela started doing makeup and dancing Hawaiian and Jazz on stage
when she was 9 years old. At the young age of 13 Pamela decided she
wanted to become a movie star. Since • M O V I E S T A R • was not in
the Yellow Pages and modeling was, she became a model instead.
Linda Speer of Covergirl Edmonton believed in Pam enough to send her to
Detroit Michigan on a private jet sponsored by June Kerrison of
Junes House of Fashion to enter the Wilhelmina modeling conventionin New York City.
After waiting one year in Toronto for immigration Pamela headed back
to stay in Manhattan for the next nine years. With 100’s of fashion
shows, photo shoots for magazines or the Times, and television
appearances (including regular appearances on Saturday Morning Live,
Regis & Kathy Lee and soaps like Another World) Parker became an
important face in the industry. Being part of the Model brigade
included going to Studio 54. 1985 John Robert Powers School in
Manhattan asked Pamela to teach modeling and makeup application. During
that time Parker also went to hair school at Robert Fiancé and became a
makeup artist under her business name, Lets Make-up.

Makeup Artist
With experience and her own line of makeup, Parker headed home to
Edmonton to start her business, called Pamela Parker Cosmetics - Image
Consultant, makeup artist and hair stylist. Photography was a natural
addition for one stop shopping for on air personalities, politicians,
singers, actors, dancers, brides, grads, or just for fun.

Who knew Parker would become on overnight success after 32 years of
trying. Her dream of becoming a movie star finally came true. She now
has credits in several movies, including 'Intern Academy' starring Dave
Thomas and Dan Ackroyd, which was released in theatres in 2005.

Pamela is an incredible source of knowledge and draws on her years
of experience to assist anyone wanting to improve their understanding
of the world of modeling, acting, makeup application and How to get
what you want.
